Tom & Toni Stanton
Owner-Broker
of Exit Realty Gulf Shores
When Tom Stanton started Exit Realty in Gulf Shores, he had thirteen years of real estate experience. An Auburn University graduate, with a background in Commercial construction, Tom has found that founding Exit Realty on the Gulf Coast is the perfect way to utilize his many skills. Tom got his real estate license when a friend suggested that he'd be a good fit for the business. Soon
afterwards Tom was transferred to Mobile, Alabama and he began his real estate career there.
Tom discovered Exit Realty and purchases a franchise in 2002 and opened Alabama's first Exit Realty office. He liked the new Exit concept of recruiting new agents into the business with new agents being sponsored by existing ones. When the new agents make money, so do their sponsors. This makes for a team
environment where everyone is working together...not the usual case in real estate !
Part of Exit Realty of Gulf Shore's success is the training the company offers its Realtors. Tom uses a trainer with 30 years in the business. When Tom began this company he had seven agents working with him. In 2005, Tom had over 150 Exit Realty agents among his offices in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Daphne. One of his agents was named one of the Top 25 Exit Realty Agents for the first half of 2005. In addition, Toms' Exit franchise was named one of the Top 25 Exit Companies in the U.S. and Canada. This makes Tom a Power Broker.
Tom has set a goal of opening two new Exit offices every year. He is even looking into expanding into neighboring states. Since the agents who are with Tom have the opportunity to become part owners it is a great business and not just about opening offices.
Tom enjoys spending time with Toni, his wife of 25 years. They have four children and two grandchildren. He is active in community organizations like Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, Young Life, Special Olympics and local
schools. Tom especially enjoys mission trips with Grace Presbyterian Church. He has worked at a school for the deaf in Mexico several times. At Grace, Tom teaches Sunday School and leads in the music ministry.
