Gulf Shores Orange Beach Relay for Life - April 30, 2005

Relay For Life raises funds for the American Cancer Society. Our local event was held at the Orange Beach Sports-Plex on Canal Road this year. The EXIT Realty theme was Fairytale and the EXIT Relay Team members were all dressed as favorite Fairytale Characters. TheCastle rose high in the sky and was a fitting set for the costumed cast. Relay For Life is a community gathering rather than an athletic event, anyone and everyone can participate. Teams form from businesses, clubs, families, friends, hospitals, churches, schools, and service organizations.

We arrived just at sundown and were met by Mr & Mrs. Shrek (aka Tom & Toni Stanton).

EXIT won the "Best Campsite" award for the outstanding Castle and decorations !!

Snow White has come out of the forest and gets cell phone calls in 2005 !
Is it  true that a 'watchpot' never boils? Especially a SHRIMP loaded watchpot ?

Lots was happening, with activities for all ages and all the while, the relay continuing under the lights.
