This two page printable crafts file has two crosses and two sets of cut-outs for two cards. You will need to print the sunrise background twice to make two cards. The background has light marks to show you where to cut and where to fold.   There are three pop-up supports. Cut on the solid lines and score to make nice crisp folds on the dotted lines. Because you will have openings on the back where the pop-up supports fold inwards, it is suggested that you take a piece of colorful cardstock and in half and glue it as a backing to the outside of the card.

You will have two pages, one is the background and the other has cut-outs to be glued to the background. The cut-out sheet has parts for two cards. You can pick and choose how to combine them. You make cuts with an exacto or utility knife along the solid lined lightly printed on the sunrise background sheet and make scores along the dotted lines to neatly fold out your 3-D supports. The supports 'pop' out from back to the front of the card. They are designed to fold flat when the card is closed. It only takes a little bit of glue to adhere the cut-outs to the supports, be careful not to use too much and have the card get glued closed!

Here, looking from above and from the side, you can see the 3-D pop-up effect.

I attached a seperate colorful piece of cardstock to the backs for the greeting cards to give them more stiffness and cover the openings where the pop-up supports are folded inward. I also used some fancy scissors to cut an attractive edge on the ends of my colored cardstock backing. You do not have to cut any fancy edge, you can just use a piece of colorful stiff paper. The outside of the greeting card can be addressed and just use a bit of tape or a sticker folded over to hold the card closed and mail without an envelope. It only requires standard postage. If you prefer, you can also buy large 6"x 9" envelopes at any office supply store or Wal-Mart in office supply dept.  We hope you enjoy this free craft project.
